CCC1
loses to OSU in a low scoring game

CCC1 lost its first game of the season to OSU in a low scoring
game.
We decided to bat first on winning the toss. We did not get
off to a
good start with the first wicket falling around 10 runs in
the 3rd
over. Srini and Gautam steadied things a bit after that. After
hitting
a few lusty blows Gautam fell trying to guide the ball to
3rd man area,
instead spooning a catch in gully. It was a steady stream
after that.
We could not muster any big partnerships and folded in 33.3
overs after
scoring 121. The main scorers for CCC were Gautam (~25), patrick
15 and
Sundeep 19 runs.
With such a low score we needed early breaks but unfortunately
that was
not to come by. First wicket of OSU fell in the 7th over -
first ball
bowled by Sundeep with the score around 40. None of the bowlers
could
get any traction except Sundeep. Sundeep was the pick of the
bowlers
with an analysis of 7-4-11-3. OSU managed to score the required
runs
with 4 wickets in hand and 7-8 overs to spare.
The game, however, was played in a very cordial environment.
